Interfaith Families

CBI Welcomes All Interfaith Families!

Congregation Beth Israel supports and welcomes all those in interfaith relationships. We estimate that 1/3 to 1/2 of our families consider themselves interfaith. We make no differentiation between children with one or two Jewish parents in our Religious School and work hard to make all children feel welcome.

In the spirit of the Reform movement, we recognize the non-Jewish partner in an interfaith relationship plays an important role in creating a Jewish home and raising Jewish children. We honor and welcome you as an important part of our Congregational Family.

CBI's clergy perform interfaith weddings, with each Rabbi performing ceremonies according to his or her own requirements. (Please contact the Clergy Office directly for more information on the availability of the Rabbis)
