YAHRZEIT OBSERVANCES

Yahrzeits are known among the Jewish community as the anniversary of the death of a parent or other close relative, marked by the burning of a memorial candle.
CBI wishes to acknowledge the Yahrzeits of your loved ones by reading their names aloud before reciting the mourner's kaddish on the appropriate Shabbat.

Annual Membership Commitment

Our annual commitment structure is designed to better serve our community and allows us to live into our sacred mission to foster a thriving Jewish community by embracing spirituality, learning, and a sense of belonging. The giving range that you choose is up to you, and we are grateful for every member of the community who chooses to call Congregation Beth Israel their home.

To sustain our synagogue, we have calculated that the actual cost per household is $3,628 per year, which we have kept steady from 2022/23. We recognize that not every family can afford that amount, while some families may be able to afford far more. Thank you for contributing what you can. Congregation Beth Israel will never turn anyone away for financial reasons.

Please note:
For annual commitments of $1,800 and greater, a $250 security and building maintenance fee will automatically be added to your total.
For annual commitments less than $1800, the security fee is optional.
