Congregation Beth Israel welcomes you to our streaming services. Here are some instructions to help you get started.

  • Below, you will see a “Downloads” section. For some of our services, we provide slides you can download to help follow the service.  If a link to slides for today’s service is there, we recommend downloading them and viewing them in a separate window or on another device. You may also access an online copy of our Prayer Book if you prefer to follow along that way.
  • To access, the service, click on the blue “Start Streaming” button below.
  • This will take you to our YouTube channel. Look for the service with today’s date in the title. If you don’t see it, please wait a few minutes and refresh the page. Then click on that service to start streaming.
  • If you run into problems, please look at the Technical Support FAQs at the bottom of this page for suggestions.

Erev Shabbat Services every Friday at 6:30 p.m.

Shabbat morning services every Saturday at 10:30 a.m.


 

Friday 6:00 p.m. Family Services in January on these dates only: January 8, 22, and 29.


 

Beginning in February, Friday 6:00 p.m. Family Services will be held on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Fridays of the month.

Technical Support FAQs

Q: I was told the service starts at 10:30 a.m. but it hasn't started yet.
A:  Congregation Beth Israel in Austin, TX is in the Central time zone, Please make sure you adjust for your time zone.

Q: I clicked the link at the right time, but the service hasn't started yet.
A: Sometimes we start a few minutes late. Please be patient and check back in 3 - 4 minutes.

Q: I clicked on the right link, I think, but I can't find your service.
A: Click
here and look for the service with today's date. For example, "Erev Shabbat 11-21-2020." Click on that service. It may take a few minutes for the video to start. Please be patient.

Q: I just lost the sound. Can't hear anything.
A: Our microphones are battery-powered. Occasionally, the batteries die during a service. Please be patient and wait 3 - 4 minutes while the batteries are replaced. We try to make sure batteries have plenty of power before starting a service but sometimes they run out of power anyway.

Q: It's still not working right. What now?
A: If you are able to see the YouTube chat box, see if it has any information about the problem. Or ask a question about your problem in the chat box. 

Q: My video quality is not very good. Can I improve it?
A: You may be able to improve your video quality depending on the type of device you are using. These instructions can help you adjust video quality.

Q: I did all that and I still can't see your service.
A: Please email our technical support team.
