K'tanim

Our K'tanim (Littles) class is an introductory program that offers our youngest learners their first taste of a Jewish classroom setting. Participating in K'tanim is a great way for the entire family to make life long Jewish friends, get to know clergy and teachers, and become part of the synagogue community!

3 Years: FAMILY CLASS
Sundays (1xmonth), 9-11 a
.m.
Students must turn 3 by 9/1/2023
Students in our 3’s class are invited to join us with a parent/guardian once per month on Sundays from September – May.
This class is intended as a precursor to religious school and focuses on making friends and strengthening relationships between families while providing our youngest learners with their first taste of Judaism.
Each class is planned according to the community-wide theme or holiday for each month. A few examples of these themes are: Mishpachot (family), Teamwork, and Tu B’Shevat- a holiday in which we celebrate the “Birthday for Trees”.

Pre-K

 4 Years: DROP-OFF
Sundays, 9-11 a.m.

Students must turn 4 by 9/1/2023
Children in our 4’s class are invited to join us on all 22 religious school Sundays from September – May.
We are proud to be using a curriculum provided by our partners at the Institute of Southern Jewish Life! In alignment with the elementary themes of Torah, Gimilut Chasadim (acts of loving-kindness), Israel, and Jewish holidays through books, games, songs & crafts, this program will start students on their Jewish journey.

Additionally, all K'tanim and Pre-K classes spend 20 minutes of each week with a music specialist learning Jewish pre-school tunes, and meet together in our Child Development Center classrooms which are equipped with appropriate sized furniture and in-class bathroom. Students have snack time each week in addition to outside play time, weather depending.
