Solar Panels

One of Congregation Beth Israel's primary values is Tikkun Olam (repairing the world); this includes our social justice work, volunteerism, caring for those less fortunate, and caring for our planet. For many years we dreamed of cutting our carbon footprint and setting an example for the Austin Faith Community by going solar. In 2014, three of our members, Forrest Novy, Leon Barish and David Todd, spearheaded an effort to finally bring this dream to fruition.
