Journey through the Aleph-bet: An Introduction to Hebrew

In this class, students will learn how to decode the Hebrew aleph-bet and read Hebrew.  It is geared for adult learners who either never learned to read Hebrew, or who have forgotten what they learned.  Everyone is welcome!  This class is especially appropriate for CBI parents with kids in Hebrew School.

Class meets Sundays from 11:30am - 12:15pm in Room 304                                                                                                                            

Here is the list of dates for class: January 26th, February 2nd & 9th, March 1st & 8th, April 5th, 19th & 26th

There will be a charge of $40 for the textbook & flashcards for all students.

Biblical Hebrew

In this class, students will learn how to translate Biblical, and prayer book, Hebrew. 

Prerequisites for the class are as follows:

  • Be reasonably confident, fluid Hebrew readers.  We will NOT be reviewing or learning the Hebrew alphabet in this class
  • You are committing to completing weekly homework assignments

Class meets Tuesdays from 12-1:15 pm, in the Boardroom.

April 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th

    **If you are unable to attend at this time or miss a class, we are working on getting a streaming option.  

There will be a cost for the textbook, but otherwise free for CBI Members.

The textbook is: The First Hebrew Primer by Ethelyn Simon.
